Long Island acid attack: Father says it was targeted, daughter can barely eat

The father of a 21-year-old Hofstra University student who is still recovering after being doused in the face with an acidic substance in March, told PIX11 on Thursday he believes it was a personal, targeted attack. Police on Long Island have been on the hunt for the man who threw the liquid in Nafiah Ikram's face outside her Elmont home. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder called it a “vicious and heinous” attack. Her father said her eyes are badly damaged and she can barely eat even soft foods.
