A Harvard University study found more than a third of all Americans experienced severe loneliness during the pandemic. Of these respondents, 61% were 18 to 25 years old. The HearMe App is an emotional wellness app that connects people to trained and empathetic listeners for real-time chat, Adam developed a non-therapeutic human-centered approach to combating loneliness and disconnectedness.
HearMe will offer on-demand access to a network of peer specialists providing emotional support whenever they want it – 24/7. These specialists are retired nurses and healthcare workers who are trained to provide emotional wellness resources and are there to listen to their joys, and struggles or to just help them get through the day.
