The New York Giants are on the bye week as they get ready to take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. But two-time Super Bowl Champ Sean Landeta said the bye week couldn’t come at a better time for Big Blue — with two weeks of rest, the Giants have a chance to get injured players like Saquon Barkley healthy for one of the biggest games of the season.

“To get him back in there would mean so much for their offense and that kind of helps the defense too,” Landeta said. “He keeps them off the field longer to get them rest. I know every Giant fan is hoping Barkley will be ready.”

The Giants running back hasn’t played since injuring his ankle in Dallas earlier this season. Big Blue went 2-1 in the three games since, but they’ve relied heavily on the defense to get the job done.

Daniel Jones and company will likely need Barkley back if they’re going to go toe-to-toe with Tampa’s high-powered offense.

As for the defense, listen to the full interview to find out how Landeta said they can disrupt Brady and the Bucs to pull off the upset after the bye week.
