NEW YORK (PIX11) – Matthew A. Cherry was in pursuit of his NFL dream as a wide receiver 20 years ago, but injuries forced him to stop playing the game he loved.
That pivot resulted in Cherry becoming an Academy-award-winning writer and director for his animated short, “Hair Love.” He also has a series out on Max called “Young Love.”
