NEW YORK — Emmy-winning hair stylist Antwon Jackson died suddenly at the age of 44.

Jackson, who lived in New York City, worked as TV host Wendy Williams’ “wigologist.”

He frequently appeared on her after-show on YouTube.

Williams took to social media Tuesday to mourn Jackson.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share with all of you the death of Antwon Jackson, my wigologist. He was an Emmy winning stylist and so much more. He was my friend. He had the biggest heart and was a pleasure to work with. I will forever be thankful for your friendship and love, Antwon. Thank you for the laughter you brought into my life and your sweet smile that always brightened my day. May you rest in peace.”

The details of his death were not immediately clear.

Jackson won a Daytime Emmy in 2011 for outstanding achievement in hairstyling. He was nominated again in 2012.

He leaves behind a 25-year-old son, DeAntwon Jackson.
