Prince had an incredible halftime show at the at the Super Bowl XLI in 2007.

He performed “We Will Rock You”, “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Baby I’m a Star”, “Proud Mary”, “All Along the Watchtower”, “Best of You”, and “Purple Rain.”

He performed with two backup dancers and a full glowing marching band through raging rain and wind.

“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life,” Prince said as he opened the show, iconic lines from “Let’s Go Crazy.”

He used four separate live electric guitars during the show.

“It’s just one performer shaking the entire world,”Jon Pareles, senior music critic for the New York Times said of his performance.

Prince passed away at his home in Minnesota Thursday, according to his publicist. He was 57. Less than a week ago, his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois and he was rushed to the hospital.

The iconic superstar rose to fame at a young age with “Wanna Be Your Lover” and over the following decade, released influential albums “1999” and “Purple Rain.” His greatest hits include “Little Red Corvette,” “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry.”
