JAMAICA – Police encircled a Queens building Wednesday in the hunt for two armed home-invasion suspects, but the search came up empty.

A barricade was been set up around 172 Jamaica Avenue as ESU, EMS, K-9, HNT, and TARU units were standing by outside the address.  Upon entering, however, officers found no one inside and were forced to call it off.

It’s unclear if the two men were known to be inside and escaped before officers entered, or if they suspects were never inside.

Both men are believed to be armed with guns.
