SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A teenage Brooklyn student was seriously injured Wednesday when he was hit by a car in front of James Madison High School.

The 17-year-old junior was running to the bus stop on the other side of the street when a black Infinity hit him, launching him into the side of the MTA bus.  He suffered a broken shoulder and arm, but a CAT scan revealed no serious head trauma.

A friend of the victim told PIX11 the student was leaving early after taking a practice English exam when the accident happened.

The teen is in stable condition at Kings County hospital.  The driver of the Infinity, whose windshield was shattered, remained at the scene.

No criminality is suspected.
