WOODBRIDGE, NJ (PIX11) — A burning tanker truck is sending huge plumes of smoke into the surrounding area after overturning on the New Jersey Turnpike near Woodbridge.
The truck carrying fuel traveling southbound to exit 11 was on fire Tuesday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m by Exit 11. The driver has been removed and has suffered severe burns.
New Jersey State Police extinguished the fire at 2:35 p.m. though southbound Exit 11 car and truck lanes are still closed.
