(PIX11) – You’re new so-called smart TV may be used to spy on you or worse!

That warning is coming from Senator Chuck Schumer who says internet-ready televisions have built-in cameras and the means to transmit your credit card numbers, but virtually no security.

Manufacturers have answered concerns about hackers by suggesting people tape over their TV’s camera lens or unplug the TV when it’s not in use. Schumer says that’s unacceptable. He’s calling for them to create minimum security standards for smart TVs.
