After a woman falls 17 floors to her death, questions are being raised regarding balcony safety.

John Fiore from Olympian Home, Condominiun and Apartment Inspections knows all about how to make your balcony safer. His company inspects apartments around the area.

He says to look for: rust, decay, loosened bolts especially around changes of seasons, problems on the underside of the balcony, how its affixed to the building, ballusters/railings to be close together (maximum of 4 inches).
