NEW YORK – Pope Francis’ visit in New York may leave many Apple super fans without their new iPhone 6s and 6s plus models for another couple of days.

The new iPhone models will be released on Friday, which happens to be one of the days USPS is halting deliveries and pickups.

USPS says security measures will be in place in NYC as well as Washington DC and Philadelphia during the Pope’s visit from Tuesday to Sunday.

In New York City, USPS is stopping service Thursday and Friday in select areas including Civic Center, TriBeCa, Chelsea, midtown, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and East Harlem. They’ll have to wait until Monday for their phones.

However, according to MacRumors, Apple distributes through other couriers including FedEx, which means those lucky patrons will receive their packages on launch day.
