NEW YORK (PIX11) — Deputy Mayor Anne Williams-Isom said New York City has brought together women from different fields to focus on women’s issues, like mental health, reproductive health, and chronic diseases.
A part of the city’s objective is preventing medical issues like heart disease and cancer, which continue to be the leading cause of death for women, Williams-Isom said.
