NEW YORK (PIX11) — FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh said the department will be using drones to look for sharks every morning before beaches open. Depending on the outcome, the city beaches may be closed or have a delayed opening.
There will also be a marine unit in the water and medical personnel on the beaches in case of emergencies, the commissioner said on PIX on Politics Sunday.
