BRONX, NY (PIX11) — Police released surveillance video of a man entering a Bronx building early on April 25 who they believe may have followed a woman in, sexually assaulted and robbed her.

Fernando Colon has lived in the building and is thankful management put in surveillance cameras years ago to capture images of the man with a long pony tail who police are looking for.

“I don’t know the guy – I’ve never seen him here in the neighborhood,” Colon said. “I know everybody here.”

Police said they don’t believe the man had a weapon on him at the time of the attack, and that he assaulted the woman in a hallway.

If you have any information about the man you can anonymously report it to Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
