FORT LEE, New Jersey (PIX11) – Police have arrested a New Jersey man after a grisly find in the trunk of a car found parked in the Bronx.
Andre Jamal Thompson, 25, has been charged with murder in the death of Jordon Johnson, who disappeared from his apartment January 14. His girlfriend called police after coming home just after 2:00 a.m. to find that their place had been burglarized and that Johnson was missing.
The following day, Fort Lee detectives found Johnson’s body in the trunk of a black, 2013 BMW parked at East 211th Street and Tryon Avenue. Surveillance video from that address shows a man getting out of the luxury car and walking away.
Detectives believe Thompson, also known as “Boogie,” lured Johnson to a Fort Lee apartment where he allegedly robbed him of his phone, keys and car before killing him.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office, Thompson then used the dead man’s phone to lure his girlfriend out of their apartment with text messages that appeared to be from Johnson. Once she left, the apartment they shared was ransacked of jewelry, cash and other items.
Thompson fled the state within hours of the homicide, and was arrested inside the Maryland Hotel room where he was staying, police said. He is being held on $2 million bail, and faces charges of felony murder, robbery and burglary.
