NEW YORK (PIX11) — Forget swiping and try “bagging” to find your next date.

Paper bag speed dating is coming to New York City and it’s exactly what it sounds like — participants wear paper bags over their heads, with the aim of connecting without focusing on looks.

The event will take place on Nov. 19 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the New York Hall of Science in Queens. It’s being put on by London-based Loveflutter, a dating app that aims to match “quirky” singles based on personality traits, and their last event in London was sold out.

Tickets, available here, are $25 and include four drinks as well as a paper bag art kit, where you can let your personality shine through with drawings and a 140-character personal fact:
