WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK (PIX11)-  Three hours of fighting involving hundreds of people. It’s a serious day down at Washington Square, and by serious, we mean, some serious fluffy fun.

It’s National Pillow Fight Day!  For New York City, it’s the 8th annual one as we flashback to some childhood fun.

41 cities around the world hosted huge pillow fights.

It may look like a feathery mess run by pajama bunnies, but all of these pillows will actually be donated to homeless shelters around the area.

The event also promotes non-violence.
