UTICA, N.Y. — A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for killing a 17-year-old girl and posting photos of her corpse online.

Brandon Clark of Cicero in central New York entered the plea Monday with the understanding he will get the maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison.

Clark initially entered a not guilty plea and was set to stand trial later this month for killing Bianca Devins last July.

Police said Clark and Devins met online on Instagram and grew close.

Devins, a recent high school graduate, had amassed a large social media following across several platforms.

She was especially well-known in the online gaming community. And it was on a social app for gamers, Discord, where Clark posted photos of Devins’ body, police say.

Clark apologized in court on Monday. .
