Women are certainly “wearing the pants” this fashion season and we’re checking out some of the trends right now with the help of style contributor Liza Bychkov-Suloti.

Our first look, is the pant of the season. The wide leg palazzo is the perfect trouser to dress up that comfortable style. This pair by Calypso St Barth has just the right amount of a voluminous bottom that you don’t have to worry about tailoring them. Paired with this amazing off the shoulder sweater also from Calypso St. Barth, she has this beautiful draping effect that is feminine yet so sophisticated. Throw on a pair of heels like these ones by Thalia Sodi for Macy’s and a leather jacket and this look can go from day to night.

LOOK 2: The Bold and the Bright

It’s okay to wear bright bold colors in the winter. I think when is comes to having fun with color in your wardrobe, you want to focus on one color and keep the rest of the pieces simple and neutral. For this look, we chose these electric pink pant by Vineyard Vines and matched them with a sheer black blouse also by Vineyard Vines with just a touch of sparkle to add a little bit of glam without taking away from the focus of the pants. I also love this look because, women usually tend to stick to reds during the holidays, but I love how different and unexpected this color can be – great way to stand out at any holiday party. These particular pants are cropped exposing just the right amount of skin at the ankle to make it sexy, yet appropriate for the colder temperatures. On those super cold days, pair them with a little bootie and you have a completely different look.

LOOK 3: Winter White Statement Trouser

Our last look is the ultimate statement trouser. These white embelished pants from Calypso St. Barth will give you just the right amount of umph this season. Who ever says you cant wear white after Labor Day is totally off when it comes to this outfit! Paired with a simple chic v-neck sweater by JJill and this shaggy faux fur vest by American Eagle Outfitters, you can dress this outfit down or up, and the winter whites are a perfect pair for the upcoming holiday season.
