‘Respect’ stars, director on bringing Aretha Franklin’s life to the big screen

Music fans are learning more about the iconic Aretha Franklin thanks to the highly anticipated new film, “Respect.”

Stars Jennifer Hudson, Marlon Wayans and Marc Maron, along with director Liesl Tommy, chatted with PIX11’s Ojinika Obiekwe all about the film and why making it was so special for them.

“Respect” is out in theaters only on Friday, Aug. 13.
