The Academy of Holy Angels of Demarest showcased their National Championship-winning skills on PIX11 Morning News Wednesday. Both the top-placed varsity team and junior varsity, which scored second in its hip hop division at Nationals in Florida, shared their incredible skills for a live audience.

The teams are made up of freshman to senior girls, many of whom are also on the honor roll or dean’s list.

Their coaches Jenny Sweet and Kristen Cabulski attribute year round work ethic to their successes. Sweet has coached the varsity team from third, to second to first place over the past three years.

The competitive group practices two to four hours daily, during school breaks, and throughout the summer in intensive camp settings.  They’re also being actively recruited by colleges for their performance skills.
