Newark Museum of Art hosts virtual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of celebration

NEWARK, N.J.— The Newark Museum of Art will virtually host a day of events for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Shirley Thomas, senior director of education at the Newark Museum of Art told PIX11 about all this year’s festivities.

Artist Adebunmi Gbadebo is participating in this year’s event and explained her art program and presentation.

The MLK Jr. Day Celebration: Breaking Down Barriers program takes place virtually from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.
