NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City will be entering the next phase in its war on rats by requiring all businesses to invest in new trash containers.

Businesses will have six months to get the containers before they start facing fines.

Mayor Eric Adams and Sanitation Commissioner Jessica Tisch joined the PIX11 Morning News to break down the new rules and how the city will continue its battle against rats.
