JERSEY CITY, N.J. (PIX11) – Jersey City police are continuing to defend their actions in a deadly encounter on Sunday involving 52-year-old Andrew Jerome Washington, who suffered from mental illness.
Mayor Steven Fulop said he hopes body camera footage from the encounter will show that officers followed proper protocol.
