NEW YORK (PIX11)– On Sunday, the NY Post reported that Chirlane McCray allegedly told husband Mayor Bill de Blasio that Commissioner Bill Bratton could not be trusted.

She also allegedly said that she wanted Phillip Banks, who recently resigned as Bratton’s 2nd-in-command after only 4 days, as police commissioner.

McCray followed up the tabloid report with a post on Tumblr saying ‘it wasn’t true’ and de Blasio held a rare joint press conference with Bratton expressing confidence in him.
