Black Maternal Health Week: NJ first lady discusses program to address disparities

TRENTON, N.J. — An African American woman in New Jersey is five times more likely to die of pregnancy complications that a white woman.

A new program, Nurture NJ, spearheaded by the state’s first lady Tammy Murphy, is trying to address this crisis.

Murphy joined the PIX11 Morning News on Wednesday to discuss the health disparities.
