Anthem of the Seas’ passenger talks about turbulent trip, norovirus outbreak

Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas cruise was short Wednesday due to severe weather, the second time in the month. Passengers onbaord not only had a rocky trip, but also had to battle a norovirus outbreak.

Michele Karsberg, a passenger onboard the cruise ship at the time, talked about the virus outbreak and how quickly is spread. Dr. Ken Redcross, internal medicine and concierge, also joined to talk about precautions people should take to prevent contracting the illness.

Precautions passengers should take:

  • Wash hands
  • Wash fruits and vegetables
  • Cook seafood thoroughly
  • Disinfect contaminated surfaces
  • Wash contaminated clothes
