NEW YORK —  Police are investigating the disappearance of a Connecticut man who was reported missing on Monday after allegedly attending a party in midtown — and the NYPD thinks he may have been the victim of foul play, police sources said Tuesday.

The NYPD confirmed that 26-year-old Joseph Comunale, of Stamford, was last seen entering 418 E. 59th St. on Saturday night with friends.

Police sources say Emergency Service Unit police dogs later found bloody rags and blood-stained clothing, that authorities believe belonged to Comunale, in the common area of the apartment.

The party’s host was reportedly caught on surveillance camera wheeling out a luggage cart and two large suitcases. It is not clear what was in those suitcases.

A person of interest has been taken into custody for questioning.
