MTA has big projects underway and planned. The 7 train will begin a 5-weeknd-stretch of shutdowns from Times Square to Queensboro Plaza tonight just before midnight.

Shuttle buses will be running. MTA says, “Planned service changes, like those scheduled for this fall and for the next several years, allow this vital project to move ahead.”

The on-going project involves the installation of a new signal system. New countdown clocks are possible with this new computer-based train technology.
