FOXHURST, the Bronx – The NYPD is investigating a teenager’s death after he was found dead on subway tracks inside a Bronx subway station early Tuesday.

Police said they received a 911 call of an “aided male” at the Whitlock Avenue stop around 2:20 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy with burns to his chest on the roadbed of the northbound No. 6 train tracks, according to police. He was declared dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released to the public.
