NEW YORK — Several buildings and iconic landmarks around the city and state will be lit up in Pride colors this weekend.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Friday that One World Trade Center, the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, Niagara Falls and several additional sites will be lit in rainbow colors to celebrate Pride weekend.

This year’s LGBTQ Pride celebrations look a bit different because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The annual march was canceled, but many other events have moved online, giving the community and its supporters a new avenue to commemorate the Pride movement and rally for equal rights.
