YORKVILLE, Manhattan—A woman was struck and killed as she tried to cross an Upper East Side street Thursday evening, officials said.

The New York Police Department said officers responded to a vehicle collision at East 78th Street and York Avenue about 6:41 p.m.

A man driving a grey 2005 Honda Pilot was traveling northbound on York Avenue when it struck 68-year-old Andrea Kremen of Fort Lee, New Jersey as she attempted to cross, cops said.

She was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in traumatic arrest and later died, police confirmed.

The driver remained at the scene and no criminality is suspected, cops said.
