NEW YORK — Grab that lime and tequila because it’s National Margarita Day.

Here are five places to celebrate and grab an after-work margarita in New York City:

Empellon Al Pastor

If you like a classic margarita, head over to Empellon Al Pastor in East Village. The Mexican-inspired dive bar offers buy one get one classic margarita during its happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu also includes nine different tacos to feast on with your cold drink.

The Mulberry Project

If you’re looking to go somewhere a little more adventurous, The Mulberry Project in Little Italy is the place to be. Customers can tell the bartenders at the restaurant what flavors they like or are craving and they will create a margarita based on those items. Drinks at this speakeasy are a little pricey, but it’s a place where you can be a little creative.

El Camion

Yelpers mostly rave about the affordable brunch on the weekends, but their happy hour deal is also a reason to come to this restaurant. Enjoy a $5 margarita from the menu list during its happy hour.

Arriba Arriba

Come to this Hell’s Kitchen restaurant if you want to enjoy a big margarita frozen or on the rocks. These margaritas come in three sizes: bebe (4 oz.), papa (12 oz.) and mama (27 oz.). Their papa margarita are only $5 from 4 to 7 p.m. during the weekdays.

Barrio Chino

Barrio Chino serves a selection of margaritas for spicy lovers. The list of margaritas include habanero and jalapeño flavors that will add a spicy kick to your meal or watermelon and grapefruit ones for anyone who prefer fruity drinks.

Dos Caminos 

Choose from 10 different flavors of margaritas at this Mexican restaurant, including two frozen options. You can also get a mordita — a shot of frozen margarita with beer — for an extra $3. Head over to one of the five locations in Manhattan during happy hour for an $8 El Camion Margarita.

Agave

Diners will get lost in Agave’s extensive drink menu and list of tequila to choose from. Some margaritas include the blood orange, oaxaca and its house special. During its happy hour you can choose from six flavors — prickly pear, strawberry, mango, blood orange, pomegranate — margaritas, on the rocks or frozen, for $6 to $7.
