ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — His crime was caught on tape.

Unfortunately, he’s still at large.

The man who stole the car and wallet belonging to one of our frontline nurses then drove around Elmwood Park, New Jersey racking up credit card charges until the nurse, Roman Ochoa, was alerted by his bank.

The thief stole the car around midnight from Ochoa’s driveway. Ochoa had not only left his car unlocked, but also had his wallet and a spare key in the glove compartment. Ochoa later went to the 7/11 where the thief had made some purchases and the owner showed him the store’s video of the guy using the credit cards.

The video also shows him getting into Ochoa’s 2019 Toyota Camry in the 7/11 parking lot.

Check the video above to see the thief. If you have any information, call the Elmwood Park Police at 201-796-0700.
