STATEN ISLAND — A woman was injured in a police-involved shooting in Staten Island Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

She’d allegedly  been seen breaking into a Sunnyside Avenue home with a brick and a firearm around 12:45 p.m., police said. Officers responding to a 911 call for the break in pulled over a black SUV and fired five shots after the woman inside apparently got out and pulled out a gun while police were detaining a man inside the vehicle.
