Stakes are high for some TikTok users as some US lawmakers push for ban

NEW YORK (PIX11) — TikTok is known for viral videos, dance trends and recipe hacks. 

But concerns have also been raised about data privacy, especially by some members of Congress who want the social media platform banned in the United States. The push comes as an estimated 80 million Americans are using TikTok. And the stakes are especially high for those who use TikTok to make money.
