BRIARWOOD, Queens — A 60-year-old man was killed when a tree fell on a parked car in Queens on Tuesday, officials said.

Emergency medical services rushed to 84th Drive near 143rd Street around 1 p.m.

Mario Siles was in the passenger seat of the vehicle when the tree fell, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tropical Storm Isaias causes downed trees and wires, damage across tri-state area

A woman in Brooklyn was critically injured when a tree branch fell and struck her, police said. She was rushed from Dumont Avenue in Brownsville to a local hospital for treatment.
