NEW YORK — Protests over the death of George Floyd are continuing in New York City amid lingering tension between protesters and police over the city’s 8 p.m. curfew.

Thousands took to the streets Saturday across the city, following mostly peaceful gatherings Friday night aside from some confrontations when officers tried to enforce the curfew.

Police also announced charges Saturday against a man who allegedly stabbed an officer in the neck in Brooklyn Wednesday night.
