WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A toddler was killed in a house fire in White Plains Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to the house fire at 29 Nutgrove St. to find the two-story house engulfed in flames around 11 a.m.

Four people were located and pulled from the house. The fire was contained about half an hour later.

A 3-year-old girl was pronounced dead and her grandfather in serious condition.

The grandmother and a police sergeant, both in stable condition, were treated for smoke inhalation.

Police have not released the identities of the victims.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
