National nonprofit organization Keep America Beautiful launched their local Newark branch on Saturday with a Great American Cleanup event.
Young people and other Newark residents came out Saturday to help clean up the city and their neighborhoods. Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka even joined in the cleanup of the city’s South Ward.
Keep American Beautiful works to inspire and educate people to take action to improve and beautify their own communities.
