EDGEWATER, N.J. — The son of former City Hall aide Rachel Noerdlinger was charged Monday for fatally stabbing a teenager in Edgewater, police said.
Edgewater police were called by the Palisades General Hospital Sunday night about a teenager who was stabbed in the leg. The teen, who has not been identified, died from the stab wound to their right femoral artery.
During an investigation, police found that the victim and four others arrived at 276 Old River Road Sunday evening to allegedly rob Khari Noerdlinger.

Noerdlinger, 19, fought back against the attackers and in the melee allegedly stabbed the deceased teen in their leg, police said.
Officials from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said after the stabbing, Noerdlinger tried to remove evidence from the scene.
Noerdlinger was charged with aggravated manslaughter, possession of a weapon and hindering apprehension. He was remanded to Bergen County Jail with a bail of $500,000.
His four suspected attackers were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, prosecutors said.
The 19-year-old made headlines in 2014 when he was arrested for trespassing. Police told PIX11 News Noerdlinger was arrested in the lobby of a building “where he is not supposed to be.”
Before his 2014 arrest, Noerdlinger ran an explicit Twitter account on which he posted derogatory messages about police officers and women. The account was later deleted.
Noerdlinger’s mother is the former chief of staff for New York City’s first lady Chirlane McCray. Two months before her son’s 2014 arrest, it was revealed that she was living and in a serious relationship with a man convicted of murder and drug dealing.
