Teen with autism found safe after going missing in NJ: police

LAKEWOOD, N.J. — A teenage girl with autism has been found safe after she went missing in New Jersey, according to police.

The 17-year-old girl was located Thursday morning and is expected to be reunited with her family, police said.

Police and family initially went searching for the teen after she ran off from a family member around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
