NJ woman killed in apparent murder-suicide was pregnant, officials say

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A Jersey City woman killed in an apparent murder suicide was pregnant, officials said Monday.

Garima Kothari, 35, suffered multiple upper body injuries, the Hudson County prosecutor’s office said. She was about five months pregnant.

Mohan Mall,37, was found dead in the Hudson River near Exchange Place, officials said.

Mall’s body was found by Jersey City officers on Sunday morning, authorities said. Police went to his home and found Kothari’s body.
