NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A Newark man’s life was upended after he was falsely accused of a crime.
Rodney Roberts was falsely accused of rape, but after pleading guilty to a lesser charge to avoid a longer prison sentence, he found himself behind bars for 18 years. Roberts is now a reentry coach with the Innocence Project.
PIX11’s Ayana Harry spoke with Roberts about his experience. Watch in the video player above.
