HACKENSACK, N.J. — A man allegedly slipped inside a New Jersey home through an unlocked door, walked in on a woman showering then cleaned the family’s dishes before he was caught by police.

Officers were called at about 8:20 a.m. to a home in First Street in Hackensack about a burglary in process, police said.

Sheena Diaz  was in the shower when a stranger entered the bathroom and began to disrobe, police said. She told him she was going to call the police and he left.

Diaz ran into another room where her 16-year-old sister was playing with her their one-year-old nephew.

“She was panicking she was crying she was on the phone with the police,” Mikah Diaz said. “I asked her what happened, what’s wrong, and she said there’s a guy in the house.”

The girls locked the door and waited for police to come to the house.

When officers arrived, they found the intruder in the kitchen cleaning dishes, police said. He was completely naked.

James King, of Jamaica, Queens, has been arrested in the case. He faces charges of burglary and lewdness.

A family member told PIX11 News that two children, ages 1 and 16, were home at the time.
