UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — A tractor-trailer hit an overpass on the southbound FDR Drive at E. 89th Street Monday morning.

There were heavy delays all the way back to 145th Street on the Harlem River Drive. All southbound lanes were subject to closure. A track hit an overpass at the same spot this past Monday.

Trucks are not supposed to use the FDR Drive; they’re too tall to squeeze under the overpasses.

Officials had to remove the truck carefully from under the overpass. Once they finish, they’ll have to check the overpass for damage.

It is not yet clear if anyone was injured.
