MIDTOWN EAST, Manhattan (PIX11) — A group of six men beat and stabbed a 17-year-old on a subway platform in Midtown East on Saturday, police said.
The attack happened around 4:20 p.m. at the East 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue subway station. Police said the victim was waiting for the northbound No. 6 train when a group of six men entered the subway and walked up to the teen.
The six men kicked and punched the victim in the head and body, per police. Then, according to police, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the teenager.
The initial police investigation indicated the six men knew the victim, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital. Police described his condition as stable.
