NEW YORK (PIX11) — Food, music and good conversations are on the menu as neighbors gather at street festivals in New York City.
Uptown Market is held under the arches in Harlem on the second Thursday of each month.
The 2023 season kicked off on Thursday and thousands of people headed to the festivities.
Gina makes lobster rolls along 12th Avenue at 133rd Street. She’s building a business and networking with neighbors.
“The market is great. There’s not a lot of these Uptown for all the people that live and work up here,” she said.
It’s the third year for the event along 12th Avenue at West 133rd Street. More vendors, small businesses and restaurants are represented.
