Mother of teen driver accused of killing Ariel Russo says son is being framed by NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11)– Alleged teen driving menace Franklin Reyes was back in court Wednesday.

Reyes was arrested last year for the hit and run crash that killed 4-year-old Ariel Russo.

He was then charged with manslaughter.

BUt earlier this month, while out of jail awaiting trial, he was arrested on another alleged getaway attempt.

While running from the cops, police say he hit an officer and dragged him 100 feet down the road.

His mother says her son is a victim of prison guard brutality a Rikers Island, she says, he’s being framed by the NYPD.

By the way, since Reyes has been out of jail awaiting trial, he’s also been accused of looting a dead woman’s apartment with his father.
